Anna began her career at the Environment Agency having graduated from Heriot Watt University in Sustainability and Environmental Management in 2004. As Environmental Researcher, projects included flood management risk assessments, and wind energy feasibility studies.
She moved into the Public Sector in 2007, to become a Community Policy Officer. This opportunity enabled her to use her foundational knowledge of sustainability in a new setting and she gained experience of policy, project management, and community development. This led to work covering both environmental projects and social projects. Her volunteering efforts secured her expansion and she secured critical funding for youth development and legacy projects. Her time here was spent focused on working with multi-agencies, to develop a strategic vision for a local area.
A move into the Education Sector, enabled Anna to commit fully to her passion for supporting young people. Her work for an Education Charity across 8 years continued to build key skills in areas such as project management, relationship building, sales and recruitment. She worked closely with education leaders from across schools in the North. She also got the opportunity to support young people with their careers education and organised several visits to companies as part of enrichment days.
Moving to JME consultants, her focus will be on developing the business and providing support to the team. She wants to work in an inclusive, supportive environment where people can thrive, where staff and customers are really valued.
She continues to be passionate about young people and currently volunteering with organisations that support inclusivity and equality for children. She currently supports Teach for All and has an exciting project in the pipeline for 2025 as she embarks on a fellowship with the Churchill Foundation.
As a new mum to a very active child, there isn’t much spare time! However she loves to write and enjoys outdoor activities like climbing and kayaking. She wrote a play that was showcased at York Theatre Royal in 2023 and continues in her creative pursuits.
