Upon completion of his Bachelor’s degree at the University of Salford in 2011, Andy began his career at the multinational GHD Group as a Civil and Structural Technician. He worked here for 6 years honing his skills in AutoCAD, Civils 3D and Revit. He quickly became a highly respected member of the team, earning a reputations as one of the “go to people” for both engineers and CAD / BIM Technicians alike. He worked on a range of projects, notably large-scale Wastewater Treatment Works, industrial steel buildings and large residential housing developments. In 2018 he joined Scott Hughes Design (now part of Ridge and Partners) on a contractor basis where he has been involved in the detailing of large-scale residential care village and steel framed buildings. Since 2019 Andy has undertaken various projects for JME Consultants on an ad-hoc contractor basis providing them with much needed CAD support. It was Andy who set up the JME Consultants drawing template! Andy is a highly experienced user of AutoCAD, Civils 3D and Revit.

In his spare time, Andy is known to be a bit of a “book worm” often reading sci-fi or fantastical fiction. He enjoys spending time maintaining his fitness by exploring the outdoors on foot or on bike, heading out to the mountains for snowboarding holidays, socialising with friends and taking care of his and his partners cat, affectionately named “Pig”.
